How Important Is Graphic Design For Your Business?

When you think about graphic design in terms of a business, you may automatically just think about your branding and website design. This could be just having your website, logo, or business cards designed for you. However, graphic design digs a little deeper in the business community, and it may be a little more important than you think.

As a business you may not want to pay out for a design agency to create your logo or business cards, so you may opt to do it yourself. Truth is, if you’re not a Photoshop or Illustrator pro, you may struggle with creating something unique and draw dropping. It can also be a tricky task getting things aligned and printed properly, not to mention the image quality and the photoshopping of unwanted objects in images.

The result of creating graphic design images yourself my mean your artwork looking cheap, rushed and unprofessional, even though your may have spent 5 hours making it. If your graphic design looks this way, it may cause people not to use or purchase from your website.

You wouldn’t really think that graphic design has that much impact on your business, but if you were to visit a website which looked like the artwork had only been done half heartedly, you wouldn't want to stay on it for much longer.

Graphic design is also great for business when you’re running business social media accounts. One of the most important things for these social media accounts is to not only get your name out there, but keeping engaged and interacting with your audience and followers. When big events come up such as business competitions, events or huge news, it always a great ideal to create some branded artwork about the topic. People love seeing fresh content, and seeing artwork created by or for a business is very pleasing. It’s also a good idea to keep in mind creating graphic design for New Year, Valentines, Easter, Halloween and Christmas (or another holidays you may celebrate).

Like mentioned previously, creating artwork can be a very lengthy process, and trying to do this whilst running your business can be very time consuming and somewhat stressful! That’s why it’s a great ideal to hire a design agency. They will take care of all the artwork and production for you. Obviously you have the say in what you want it to look like, and the content that goes on it. Or, if you’re not sure on the content, the agency will come up with this for you!

How Using Social Media Can Benefit Your Business

Using social media to advertise your business is undoubtably one of the best way to advertise. Is it  because it’s free? Is it because they have a tremendous amount of users? or is it because in just one click you can reach people all around the world in just shy of 1 minute? Well, it’s safe to say it’s for all of these brilliant reasons!

Creating a social media platform is completely free and can be completed within seconds. It’s important to make your page look as professional and identical to your branding as you possibly can. Update your profile photo to your logo, and use all the correct and current contact and location information. Don't forget to add your website address to your page too!

Updating your business social media profile around 3 times a week is a great way to interact and engage with your audience. Post quality content which people can relate to. Don’t just post about your business and what you do, also post things such as competitions, or polls on Twitter. This is a great way to get people liking and commenting on your posts, and it will also cause for people to share your page. Say for example 5 people share your page, in total those 5 people will have shared your page to anything between 1,000 - 3,000 people! Plus, the chances are the people who your page gets shared with may not have ever heard, of or seen your page before! Bonus!

So, say through people just sharing your page alone, that your page reaches around 15,000. It’s certain to say not all 15,000 people are going to head to your website and purchase something. Although, at least 1 of these people will, and even that’s improvement!

I know it can be a tricky task to manage 2+ social media platforms a week whilst running your business. This why it’s a great idea to looking into hiring an ad agency. An ad agency is great for taking control of this for you. They’ll set up all your social media profiles for you, create content to go on them, update your posts frequently, and engage with your audience and followers.
